The Creativity Cap is the brainchild of Allan Snyder and Richard Chi.
Allan lives an adventurous life, with experiences that range from designing antennas while at MIT to a Guggenheim Fellowship at Yale, from anthropological ventures across the Pacific to co-founding the pioneering brain computer interface company Emotiv. He didn't drop out of Harvard, but he did win the Marconi International prize for laying the foundation for optical fibre communications. Oliver Sacks once described Allan as "agile, playful, audacious, inventive, [he] leaps across boundaries, making unexpected connections,...epitomizing the creative mind".
Richard was born in a tiny town in Taiwan but lives a creative life in various parts of the world. Through a series of serendipitous events, Richard connected with Allan in his early 20s, walked away from a top option trading job to pursue PhD and was a research fellow at the Laboratory of Neuromodulation at Harvard Medical School.
